a family has organised a fundraising evening to raise awareness of a little-known severe genetic muscle-wasting condition.
Susan Oakes and her family are hosting the event on behalf of the charity Action Duchenne, which aims to raise awareness of the Duchenne’s condition, which currently has no known cure.
The condition is usually diagnosed in early childhood and affects mainly boys.
The event will be held at the Aston Rooms in Aston Road, Waterlooville, on Saturday, September 5, from 7pm, tickets cost £6. For more call 07938 626480.
