Men from Sabrina’s family and close friends will be wearing burgundy ties – the 26-year-old’s favourite colour.

Dominic, Sabrina’s husband, added: ‘Because burgundy was Sabrina’s favourite colour, we have said to people they can wear it.

‘We are wearing burgundy ties so people can feel free to wear this colour too.’

Dominic, from Gosport, said: ‘We are welcoming anyone to the service who wants to pay their respects to Sabrina. We think it is mostly going to be people who knew her, but everyone is welcome.

‘Where we were involved in so many different communities, we think there are going to be quite a lot of people there.

‘Sabrina and I were involved at Portsmouth and Havant rugby clubs as well as a couple of gyms. Her colleagues from Age UK will also be there.’

As previously reported in The News, Sabrina died in a car crash on Boxing Day last year while travelling back from a pantomime in Bodmin, Cornwall.

She was travelling with Dominic, their three-year-old daughter, Elsie, and Sabrina’s mother-in-law Dawn, when their Seat Ibiza crashed into a Mini Cooper on the B3266 at Washaway.

Sabrina died while being taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital.

After her death, Sabrina’s close friend and colleague Kelly Long set up a crowdfunding page to support Dominic and Elsie.

So far, more than £9,000 has been donated. Kelly also organised a fundraising charity event at The Box gym, where Sabrina was a member.

The money will be used to buy a bench and stone memorial at The Oaks Crematorium in Havant.

Dominic added: ‘It is brilliant how much has been donated.

‘The money will go towards a memorial for Elsie to go and visit when she’s older.

‘They can be quite expensive, so we are grateful that we can do that. Without that money, we would have never been able to afford one so it’s amazing.’

The funeral is this Friday at The Oaks Crematorium, off Bartons Road in Havant, at 2.30pm.
