A FAMILY who took part in the Moonlit Memories Walk has vowed to take part each year.

The Jones family took part in the annual 12-mile walk in memory of wife and mother Caroline Jones.

Caroline, of Cowplain, died five weeks ago, aged 52, from a malignant melanoma.

It was found by doctors when Caroline had visited the surgery thinking she had a blood blister behind her ear – instead she was diagnosed with cancer in January 2010.

Her family – husband Christopher, 53, sons Adam, 27 and Dan 24, and daughter Louise, 22, say she will never be forgotten.

Christopher said: ‘We did the walk in three hours and 36 minutes.

‘I don’t know if that’s quick or not, but we were happy with it.

‘And we want to do it each year to remember Caroline.’

The Moonlit Memories Walk starts and finishes in Castle Field, Southsea, and raises money for The Rowans Hospice. This year around 1,600 people took part.
