A FAREHAM man has died following a crash between two motorcyclists in the New Forest.

Janek Szarzynski, 29, from Elmhurst Road has died following a collision on the B3054 Beaulieu Road between Hilltop and the Heath roundabout near Beaulieu in the New Forest on Friday morning.

The motorcyclist hit a fellow rider on the road at about 7.10am and both were rushed to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Mr Szarzynski died later that evening in hospital while the other motorcyclist, a 48-year-old man from the New Forest, remains in a critical but stable condition.

Sergeant Mark Furse, from Hampshire Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said: ‘We would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed this collision on Friday morning.

‘There were several vehicles around at the time of the incident so if you have not yet spoken to us, please get in touch as you may have information which could assist our investigation.’
