A MAN has picked up a charity award which has been endorsed by Prince Charles.

Roy Taylor, a volunteer at sheltered housing complex, the Abbeyfield Fareham Society in East Street, has received the prestigious award for his services at Abbeyfield’s 2016 Royal Patron’s awards.

Mr Taylor was one of just seven people from 10,500 volunteers to pick up the award at a special ceremony in Manchester.
