A RECORD number of fans are expected to be in attendance at this year’s Wickham Festival.

With capacity already being extended to 7,000 after the success of last year’s event, organisers are hoping for a full house again this year.

Music lovers will be treated to the sounds of The Proclaimers, 10CC, Wilko Johnson and Billy Bragg over the weekend of August 6.

Event organiser Peter Chegwyn said: ‘We’re expecting between 20,000 and 25,000 visitors over the weekend including a potential sell-out on the Saturday.’
