Portsmouth Film Society is running an interactive filmmaking course for people in the city recovering from the effects of homelessness and substance abuse.

Called ‘I am only Human After All’, the aim of the project is to provide participants with the chance to work as a team and gain new skills – breaking down social barriers at the same time.

It is also hoped the course will boost the confidence of those involved.

Led by PhD student and Portsmouth Film Society founder Aysegul Epengin, the weekly workshops will be running until April 25.

After this time, the films made during
the scheme will premiere at a red carpet event and will be available to watch on YouTube.

Anyone who wishes to take part in the project should email the society at [email protected]
