Fire crews put out bin fires in Southsea and Waterlooville

REGIONAL: Newborn girl found murdered with multiple head injuries in park bushes

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a high-rise flat bin shed after an industrial wheelie bin was set alight.

The incident happened in Barkis House, Southsea, just after 3pm on Saturday.

The crew, from Southsea, were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes using a hose reel.

Firefighters from Havant also attended four residential wheelie bins that had been targeted by arsonists,in Padnell Road, Waterlooville, at about 4am on Sunday.
