FIREFIGHTERS were called after a fire broke out in a derelict building.

Crews from Gosport and Fareham arrived at Barwell Lane, in Gosport, at about 7.40pm last night.

The building’s water sprinkler system put out some of the fire.

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue’s control room said: ‘No road closures were put in place.

‘This was a relatively small fire.’
