AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a fire started in a bathroom of a second-floor flat.

Firefighters from Fareham and Portchester were called to the blaze at 6.20am today.

The fire had taken hold in the bathroom of a flat in Broadacre Place, Fareham.

Three crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a fan to put out the fire, which they had done so by 7.35am.

The occupants of the flat managed to escape from the fire and were unhurt.
