FIREFIGHTERS put out a blaze at Fort Cumberland in Eastney last night.

Two fire engines from Southsea went to the Ministry of Defence site, off Fort Cumberland Road, at about 9.35pm.

They found a derelict outbuilding on fire.

The blaze was contained and firefighters had put the fire out and made the scene safe by 10.55pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
