FIRE crews were called to put out a blaze at a home.

The fire started in the downstairs of a house in West Street, Havant yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters from Havant station were alerted to the blaze at 4pm and managed to put the fire out within half an hour.

According to crews it is not known what started the fire but it was easily contained.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and two fire engines were used to put out the flames.

A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said no-one was injured in the fire.
