Firefighters to be judged in online survey

HAMPSHIRE residents are being asked to give their views on how good their fire service is.

The Home Office is seeking to determine residents’ views on the performance of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The government department believes that by building up data of residents’ views on the service, it will make it more accountable to the public.

Daniel Greaves, interim director of fire and resilience at the Home Office said: ‘Last month, the Home Secretary set out her vision for the fire and rescue service in England.

‘One element is to bring greater transparency to the fire and rescue sector.’
