Firefighters called to block of flats in Portsmouth
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a high-rise block in Portsmouth after the smell of smoke was reported.
Five appliances were sent to Barkis House, in Brownlow Close, Buckland.
A spokesman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said someone reported the smell of smoke in a lift motor room.
Firefighters were called at 2.04pm.
Two crews from Southsea, two from Cosham and one from Portchester were called.
