FIREFIGHTERS were called to two bin fires at flat blocks in Leigh Park last night.

Officers from Havant Fire Station attended blazes at both Chichester House and Solent House, in Lockerley Road and Swarranton Road respectively, around 10pm where the industrial bins were on fire.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene. The fires were put out with hose reels and a jet pump and officers were there for around 40 minutes.

A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: ‘Nobody was injured but both bins were against the buildings.

‘We will be passing details on to the police as we are treating it as suspicious.’
