FIREFIGHTERS from Waterlooville will be walking 13 miles — wearing heavy fire gear and breathing apparatus — to raise funds for charity.

The team of fundraisers will also be carrying a ‘casualty’ on a stretcher the entire way – all to raise money for the Firefighters Charity and Football for Cancer charity.

They will start at Horndean Fire Station in Blendworth Lane, at 10am.

The charity challenge will see the firefighters walk through the streets of Waterlooville — before they reach their finish line at Gunwharf Quays.

The event takes place on Saturday, April 4.
