FAREHAM fire station will open its doors to the public this summer.

The open day provides residents with the chance to visit the station to see what firefighters do.

The event, taking place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, August 6, will include entertainment for children as well as fire and rescue demonstrations.

Refreshments and snacks will be on sale and merchandise will be sold, with all money raised going to charities.
