Firefighters tackle blaze at Southsea shop

More than 40 firefighters are battling a blaze at a shop in Southsea.

The fire, which is still active, took hold at a premises in Albert Road shortly before 6am this morning.

A spokesman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said that 10 pumps were on the scene from across Hampshire as well as an aerial ladder unit.

Albert Road is closed between Waverley Road and Bristol Road.

The fire is believed to have started in the Impress Dry Cleaners, near to the Bold Forester pub.

Nobody is believed to be hurt.
