A FIRE has broken out on the first floor of a house in Cowplain.

Four fire engines – two from Waterlooville, one from Horndean and one from Cosham – have been called to the incident in London Road.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue say the roof of the property is also on fire.

Hampshire Police have closed one lane of traffic so emergency vehicles can access the house.

The call came just after 1.45pm today.

It is not known if there are any injuries.
