BRAVE souls made the most of another weekend of firework fun and festivities.
The show in Rowlands Castle pulled in a crowd of determined fun seekers on Saturday night despite the wet weather.
Wellies, umbrellas and waterproofs were the order of the evening as fireworks were set off and a slightly damp bonfire was lit.
Organiser Fiona Charlesworth said that around 2,000 attended the show.
Mrs Charlesworth said: ‘It went very well.
‘The rain put some people off but they all came along at the last minute.
‘We had a fantastic display and the bonfire went up like it was supposed to.’
The show was put on by the Rowlands Castle Association and was held on the recreation ground, off The Fairway, Rowlands Castle.
Mrs Charlesworth said the event was a long-standing tradition for residents of Rowlands Castle.
She said: ‘Years ago it was a very small event but it has grown and grown.’
A funfair was also held on the field.
On the same night, a show organised by 1st Wickham Scout Group was called off.
The annual display and bonfire was planned for Glebe Field, off School Road, in Wickham, but was cancelled due to wet weather.
