A runner from Bishop’s Waltham has been short-listed for a national blogging award.

Nikki Jones set up her blog Fit & Nix in 2014, which charts her journey from fitness novice to running half marathons and Tough Mudder.

It is one of 12 nominated for a Running Award in the publications and online category.

She said: ‘The blog has been a bit of a whirlwind; one moment I couldn’t run a metre, the next I was running the most ridiculous obstacle race, jumping off 15ft platforms into freezing cold water, diving into ice baths and being electrocuted.

‘Then to top off the most amazing 18 months, I was having my photo taken with Paula Radcliffe at the Great South Run and being interviewed by journalists. It’s been pretty crazy but so much fun.’
