LITTLE Oliver Cole was the lucky winner of a special cuddly toy.

The Langstone Infant School pupil managed to come first in a nativity sheep trail competition organised by St Cuthbert’s Church in Copnor, Portsmouth.

Oliver, five, was the first of 22 children to spot 12 cuddly knitted sheep hidden in shops and the library in Tangier Road.

Rev Canon David Power presented Oliver with his prize of a knitted sheep.

Mr Power said: ‘The children had a lot of fun following the trail and got quite excited when each sheep was discovered. It was also good to have the involvement of the shopkeepers and the Alderman Lacey Library.’

All the children were entered into a prize draw to win a family ticket to Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre in Ringwood.
