A TEENAGE girl who climbed a fence to retrieve a lost football had to be rescued after getting stuck.

The youngster had gone up a metal cage to reach the ball, in Malins Road, Buckland, but got stuck 8ft off the ground.

Her four friends called the fire service at 11pm on Friday and a crew from Southsea was dispatched to rescue the girl.

Firefighters helped free her by cutting a padlock off the cage and reunited the girl with her football.
