POMPEY legends will take on a firm to raise money for charity.

The match has been organised by Lea Jackson, owner of Jackson Groundworks, who will be putting up a team of 11 men to take on former Pompey players.

Money raised will be donated to the family of Will Stubbs, who want to raise £50,000 so he can have a life-changing operation.

Former Portsmouth Football Club players such as Alan Knight, Keith Viney and Mark Chamberlain, will be taking to the pitch on Sunday, July 17, at 1pm.

The match takes place at Horndean Football Club, Five Heads Road, and is free to enter.

A raffle will be drawn and donation buckets will be used to raise money.

Will, three, of Padnell Avenue, Cowplain, suffers from spastic cerebral palsy, restricting his movement.

An operation in America could finally help him to be more mobile.
