ACCORDIAN music will fill a church to raise money for those affected by the Chernobyl disaster.

Igor Sayenko and Oleksiy Kolomoiets will be playing a lunchtime concert at Holy Trinity Church in West Street, Fareham.

The pair studied accordion at the national Music Academy of Ukraine and have since thrilled audiences with their playing of classical, traditional and jazz.

Gordon Uphill, the organist at Holy Trinity, said: ‘I am really looking forward to hearing Widor’s Toccata played on accordions.’

The concert will be held on Tuesday, July 29 at 1pm. Admission is free, with a collection in aid of Ukrainian charity, Hippokrat.
