Free shuttle service from Hayling Ferry for Great South Run participants

RUNNERS can use a free shuttle bus service from the Hayling Ferry to Great South Run.

Portsmouth City Council and Pete’s Airlink are operating the shuttle service tomorrow for the annual event in Southsea.

The minibus has a capacity of 32 passengers per journey, and will shuttle runners between the ferry terminal and Jack Cockerill Way, just a short walk from the race’s start line.

Buses depart from the ferry terminal at 8.10am, 8.30am and 8.50am.

After the run, return shuttle buses will depart from Jack Cockerill Way at 2.30pm, 2.50pm and 3.10pm.

The shuttle bus is free but passengers must show a valid Hayling Ferry ticket in order to board.

The service is operating a first-come, first-served basis and can only hold 32 passengers.

The Hayling Ferry will be operating an hourly service depending on demand.
