A GROUP of friends in Portsmouth have been raising money for charity by holding a camping event called Summer Love.

The group raised cash for Cystic Fibrosis Kids Portsmouth (CFKP).

They had some help and donations of food from local companies.

They included M S King Butchers from Milton, catering company RKdia, based in Horndean, and Albert Road’s Sainsbury’s store.

The event saw more than 100 people camping together.

Steve White, chair of CFKP said: ‘My little girl Rosie was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth in 2008 and the support from our friends has been amazing.

‘Our annual camping trip at Summer Love is organised and run by our friends so it was brilliant that we could run the cafe at the event and we are very honoured that so many people supported our cause.

‘Many thanks from the bottom of our hearts.’
