FAMILIES and animal lovers are invited to attend a fun-filled open afternoon.

PDSA PetAid hospital at Durley Avenue, Cowplain, is opening the doors of its charity pet hospital on August 17.

Families can enjoy behind-the-scene tours of the hospital as well as a range of activities.

PDSA vet Sarah Coombes said: ‘Our open afternoon will be an enjoyable event, with something for everyone.

‘It gives people the chance to see how a PetAid hospital is run and learn more about PDSA’s vital work.’

There will be a tombola, face painting and pet wellbeing advice from PDSA staff, as well as stalls offering a wide range of items for sale. The fun starts midday.
