A COMMUNITY group will host family fun in the park to raise money for charity.

The Mayor of Gosport, Cllr Wayne Ronayne, will open the event, in Walpole Park, Gosport, on Saturday.

A wide range of activities and attractions will be held for the whole family to enjoy.

There will be challenges from BBC programme Total Wipeout, known as The Last Man Standing, as well as bouncy castles for children.

More than 15 stalls will be at the fayre to raise money for the mayor’s two charities; the Rowan’s Hospice and homeless charity Accommodation Resource Centre (ARC).

The event will be held on Saturday from 11am until 5pm.

Organiser Brian Russell, from the group behind the event, the Gosporteers, said: ‘The fayre is to raise money for both of these charities and the Gosporteers will organise and ensure the safety of anyone who attends.’
