THE funeral of a Fareham police officer who died suddenly from an illness will be taking place this Friday.

Sgt Kevan Sitch, 52, of Serpentine Road, served at Fareham police station, from where he was due to retire in three months’ time.

However he was taken ill and died just three days later.

His funeral takes place at Portchester Crematorium on Friday at midday.

He is survived by his wife Alison Sitch, 50, and three children.
