Gallery: Lee-on-the-Solent parkrun junior takeover

Juniors took centre stage at Lee-on-the-Solent parkrun.

It was great fun and the junior takeover was amazing.

Pearson Atkinson, 10, delivered a superb run briefing and lots of juniors were taking on the volunteer roles.

They all did really well and ensured everyone had a great morning along the seafront promenade.

The adult volunteers provided great support when needed.

Lee welcomed tourists from Toronto in Canada as well as High Wycombe, Andover, Winchester and Hosham among others. Well done to Peter Bottomley who ran his 50th parkrun.

The event takes place at Marine Parade East, PO13 9LB.

Martin Stockley finished in first place. The Eastleigh runner is in strong form and clocked a time of 17min 23sec.

Angela Richardson had a good run to complete the 5k in 18.43 and finish first lady.

The charge was on at Whiteley parkrun with Richard Waldron securing first place in a time of 15.27, the new fastest time for the course and it was also the fourth fastest overall parkrun time of the week. 

Simon Bittlestone was second in a new personal best of 18.04.

Nikki Roebuck finished first lady with a time of 20.44 with Beverly Woolcock second in 23.18.

In total 180 completed the 71st event held at Whiteley Meadowside.

Matthew Brown finished first at Fareham parkrun with a personal best time of 17.18.

Jay Withers took second place as he also got a new best of 18.32.

Paula Williams finished first lady and Rachel Shambrook got a new personal best of 23.40.

Great Britain international gymnast Kelly Simm did the 5k at Cams Hall Estate as part of team parkrun.

In total 229 people completed the 127th Fareham parkrun.

Susan Bovingdon and David Frith both did their 100th parkruns.

Adam Barlow finished first at Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun with a time of 18.08.

Rhiannon Dunlop finished fifth with a time of 18.29 and it was a new course personal best for her.

Jhon Cosgrove got a personal best of 17.57 at Southsea parkrun as 363 people completed the 5k.

John Brimecome was first while his daughter Jess Brimecome was first female at Queen Elizabeth parkrun with 110 finishers for the 279th event.

Tom Hoskinson finished first at Havant parkrun as 269 people did event number 326.
