After weeks of anxious waiting following the exams at the end of secondary school, teens have founded out if they made the grades to take the next step in life '“Â whether that is to college or another path.Â
This year has seen wider changes to the grading system with the alphabetical grades widely swapped for the numerical 9-1 system.Â

Hide AdSimon Graham, headteacher at St Edmunds Catholic School, speaking about the new grading system said:Â Â '˜Any new system is going to take a few years to get used to.
'˜Students who have achieved grades 7 and 8 for example have done incredibly well, but they're left feeling that they haven't done, because they haven't achieved a 9 - which is a grade gained by only 0.7 per cent of the population.
'˜That's indicative that this system is going to take some education in terms of the population as a whole, in terms of employees and universities.
'˜It's the government that needs to do that, not relying on schools to pick up the pieces.'
