TICKETS are now on sale for the Waterlooville Music Festival.

Now in its seventh year, the festival is set to transform the town into a music-lover’s paradise for a week in June.

The event kicks off on Saturday, June 9 with the summer fete at St George’s Church, which is the base for the festival.

There will be performances every day for the following week, including concerts by Highbury Area Band, Denmead Brass Band, Havant Clarinet and Saxophone Ban, Hago, Solent Male Voice Choir, The Spinnaker Chorus, Portsmouth Philarmonia, and Opera Comique.

The festival will reach its conclusion on Saturday, June 16 with a Last Night of the Proms concert.

Jane Rice-Oxley, publicity officer, said: ‘The festival is still finding a wealth of new talent and some returning firm favourites. Throughout the week there are free lunchtime concerts, schools concerts and workshops as well as an exciting evening programme.’
