FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue a teenager who thought she had become impaled on a fence.

The girl, believed to be aged 15, had got her jeans caught on a spiked fence as she tried to jump over a brick wall in Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea.

One crew from Southsea fire station and Hampshire Constabulary were called at 10.55pm last night.

Firefighters used a short extension ladder to free the youngster’s clothing, which had got on the spikes.

No one was injured.
