PUBS are not just about booze.

Many of the pubs across The News region are cultural hubs attracting artists and writers, both budding and established.

The long-established Tongues and Grooves poetry and music club meets regularly at The Florence Arms, Florence Road, Southsea.

The next meeting will feature Robyn Bolam, the chairman of The Poetry Society.

He will be joined by local poets Sandy Walker and Andy Broad.

The evening begins at 8pm and costs £3, £2 concessions.
