THE return of James Bond to the big screen prompted a celebration at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard.

The dockyard’s No.6 Cinema hosted a screening of the new Bond film Spectre.

Action Stations, where the cinema is housed, was bathed in a Bond-themed projection for the screening and a trio of Aston Martins were there.

The cars, owned by enthusiasts, were brought in as a nod to the fictional superspy’s love of fast cars.

Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust chief executive Peter Goodship said: ‘It was a truly fantastic experience to host the Bond premiere at our very own No.6 Cinema at the Historic Dockyard. The lights on the Actions Stations building were incredible and it was a real sight to see all of those Aston Martins.’
