A FUNDRAISING event saw golfers raise thousands for a Portsmouth-based charity.
The golf day took place at the MacDonald Botley Park Hotel in aid of Wetwheels Solent, an enterprise set up by Geoff Holt to give disabled and disadvantaged people the chance to enjoy a high-speed experience.
Wetwheels is a power-boat that seats up to 10 people and is capable of up to 40 knots.
It takes people around Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent and the Needles.
Homes under the Hammer presenter Graham Barton auctioneered the event, and England Cricketer Shaun Udal delivered the presentations. In total, the event raised £2,500 for the charity.
Wetwheels has also been shortlisted in The News’ Cash for Communties project.
