Gosport and Fareham charity appeals for retro items

CHARITY shops are appealing for donations of retro clothes and homeware.

The Barnardo’s shops in Fareham and Gosport are encouraging people to check their wardrobes and cupboards for anything they might want to donate.

The children’s charity shops have seen an increased demand for quality, retro dresses, tops, shoes and handbags as well as curtains, knick-knacks and furniture from as far back as the 1950s.

Area business manager Lois Bramley said: ‘The retro look is all the rage at the moment and people come into our shops specifically on the hunt for quality memorabilia.

‘We’d like people to check for any they might have.’
