A LIFEBOAT crew was called to help rescue five young people.

Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service’s inshore lifeboat was called to help police and coastguard at Fareham Creek.

There was a report that five young people were stuck in mud on a raft yesterday evening.

But the crew was stood down before they left their base at Stokes Bay, Gosport.
