A CHARITY raised hundreds of pounds from a Christmas carol event.

Veronica and Friends raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support, which helps people in Gosport, by holding an event in Alverstoke on December 18.

A spokesman said: ‘We want to thank Paul Pilott and the choristers, Darcey’s Tearooms, Malcolm and Chris Dent, Bill and Sue of the Village Fish Bar and everyone who attended and helped raise £431.09.’
