Springtide Festival, held in Gosport, is back for a fourth year and is being held at Bay House School again.

It has grown in size every year and organiser Louis Crowe is looking forward to making this year’s the best yet.

He hopes to include another stage and increase audience numbers.

Louis said: ‘Moving to Bay House School definitely helped us grow but we still have that community, intimate feel.

‘We are hoping to include a third stage this year as an acoustic area but we need to see how it would work with the other two stages.

‘It would also be good to add to our visitor numbers.

‘Last year we were almost at capacity so to get even more people would be great.

‘Seeing the festival grow every year has been fantastic and we want to build on that success.’

The festival, held on May 28, is about promoting up-and-coming musicians and bands as well as artists from Gosport and the surrounding area.

Last year, they were able to bring in To Kill a King along with April Towers and Vant.

Louis added: ‘I want to bring in even more artists this year.

‘We have been really lucky with the artists we have booked and people have really enjoyed them.

‘I think for the size we are, we have been able to bring in some really good headliners and we want to do the same this year.’

Before moving to Bay House School, in Gomer Lane, the festival was held at the Thorngate Halls.

But increasing popularity saw it move last year.

Louis said: ‘We were able to have more stages and a marquee too which we want to bring back this year, weather permitting.

‘When we started Springtide, we never expected it to get as big as it has.

‘It is great to see and I think people in Gosport appreciate the event and the quality of music we try to get.’
