SAYING goodbye to her long, lovely locks was something Shyloe Wilson was happy to do.
The brave eight-year-old had 15 inches of her hair cut off to raise money for a cause close to her heart.
Shyloe, from Gosport, has diabetes and wanted to raise money for JDRF – a charity researching to find a cure for the condition.
She is also raising cash for the Little Princess Trust which makes wigs for children suffering from cancer.
Her mum Victoria said: ‘I am so proud of my little princess. So far she has raised £550 for the two causes.
‘Shyloe was really excited to have a new hairstyle after growing it her whole life.’
Shyloe had her hair cut yesterday and wanted to get it done before her dad goes on a seven-month deployment with the Royal Navy. She also wanted to start the school term with her new look.
She said: ‘I put up with my diabetes and deal with it as it’s the only thing I can do. But to find a cure for my life-long condition would be amazing.’
