FIFTEEN firefighters tackled a blaze at a home in Gosport.

The crews put out the fire in a electrical cupboard in a kitchen in Nursery Close, Bridgemary, after they were called at 4.50pm.

There was heavy smoke damage throughout the home. It was out by around 4.40pm yesterday.

The firefighters and one officer used six breathing apparatus, two jets and one hose reel were used to tackle the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service did not report any injuries in the fire.
