GOSPORT MP Caroline Dinenage is getting ready to throw herself out of an aircraft in the name of charity.

Ms Dinenage wants to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society by doing a charity skydive later this year.

After being declared medically fit enough to take part this week, the MP said she will jump on May 25.

Ms Dinenage said she is taking part in honour of a close friend who suffers from MS.

She said: ‘If there’s anything worth jumping out of a plane for, this is it.

‘It’s not something I would normally think of doing.

‘But a dear friend of mine from Gosport has MS and it has turned his life upside-down.

‘In a way I’m looking forward to it, because I want to raise money for this worthwhile charity.

‘I just want to raise as much as possible.’
