LOCALS and the landlord at a Gosport pub have helped raise money for a girl with cerebral palsy.

The Village Home pub in Alverstoke decided to dedicate a horse race night in aid of 11-year-old Alicia Pannell.

The pub managed to raise £1,104 to help Alicia’s family adapt their home.

Alicia’s parents Sharon and Lee said: ‘We cannot put into words how much we appreciate everyone’s generosity – it’s another step closer to our fundraising target.’
