MOTORBIKES, trikes and scooters will be part of a toy run, donating gifts to Queen Alexandra Hospital this Christmas.

The Park Tavern, in Gosport, has organised the event to deliver presents to patients in the emergency department of the Cosham hospital.

The group, which can include L-platers, are meeting at the Tattooed Buddha, on Forton Road, and will then ride to QA to make the delivery.

Refreshments will be available at the hospital on arrival and the Park Tavern, on Park Road, will be offering curry afterwards for those who took part in the ride.

Anyone wanting to donate a gift before the ride can drop them off at the pub, the Armed Forces shop, at 40a Stoke Road or the Tattooed Buddha.

Presents for adults could be a puzzle, wordsearch, crossword or sudoku books.

Tea, coffee and biscuits for the hospital staff can also be donated. These should not be wrapped.

Gifts for child patients should be wrapped and marked with gender and age group.
