TWO fundraisers have handed over nearly £500 to charity.

Wendy Strange, 56, of Bridgemary, Gosport, completed an ice bucket challenge – where people taking part pour ice-cold water over themselves.

She did it at Fareham Social Club and raised £45 from donations.

It comes after Wendy also took part in the Alzheimer’s Society memory walk at Stokes Bay on Saturday, September 6.

As reported, she completed the walk with her sister Sandra Wyatt, 58, also from Bridgemary, Gosport.

Sandra and Wendy have raised £491 between them.

Their mother-in-law Gwen Strange, of Lee-on-the-Solent, has the disease.
