Grants to improve community well-being

BURSARIES of up to £500 are available to help get '¨community projects off the ground.

Individuals and voluntary and community groups from across the area can apply for the grants from The Partnership Foundation.

The bursary must be used to improve the social and economic wellbeing of the people who live in some of our deprived communities and who often feel neglected.

It can be used to cover future project costs that will help applicants run a new or better service – or help develop a particular initiative for an organisation dedicated to helping the less fortunate.

The deadline for applications is October 21. Community groups can make joint applications.

If you would like help applying or to hear about other community projects making a difference in your area, there is a social enterprise event on October 12 at Aspex, Gunwharf Quays from 3.30pm.
