THERE are still places for runners to take on the challenge of the Great South Run and support Naomi House children’s hospice along the way.

Europe’s leading 10-mile road race takes place in and around Portsmouth on October 28, taking in the Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth Cathedral, Spinnaker Tower and HMS Victory.

Naomi House corporate fundraiser Fiona Hansford said: ‘This is the first run that I have ever taken part in, in fact I had to buy a pair of trainers especially! Although it is nervewracking, I am so excited to be a part of Team Naomi raising money for such a fantastic cause.’

Each runner will receive a running vest, a T-shirt, and a pack full of fundraising ideas.

Naomi House also provides a day with Green Coach personal trainers, including information, advice and a practical training session for each participant, as well as a tour of the hospice.
