Businesses’ horticultural displays were judged and talented schools from across the area provided musical entertainment at Waterlooville Bandstand to celebrate Waterlooville In Bloom.

The competition sees businesses in the town’s precinct go head-to-head to create the most colourful horticultural arrangement.

‘We want more people to be using the precinct, so I think this is a great way to draw people in and it also brings a bit of healthy competition between the local businesses.’

Councillor Faith Ponsonby, Mayor of Havant, decided on Mr Traill’s arrangement as the deserved winner.

‘It is a lovely idea to help bring more people into the area and I think it’s been successful as the precinct is brighter and more colourful.’
